| Song Audio, A Canadian audio
manufacturer and importer, were very pleased to show their
line of products. On display where the imported Loth X Aura
hornloaded loudspeakers. |
 |
| Standing tall to each side of the speakers and
in the center back were the Argent Audio RoomLens resonators
or to be more precise: feedback-controlled modified broadband
Helmholtz resonators. These are meant to dampen unwanted room
resonances and reinforce sound image focus. We haven't tried
these ourselves but many swear by them and the sonic benefits
they bring. |
 |
| The loudspeakers were driven by Song Audio
amplification: Line Level Preamplifier: SA-1 and Power
Amplifier: SA-300 MB monoblocks. Both employing single-ended
designs with 0 NFB, and direct-heated triodes [8 wpc/8 ohm]
for the monoblocks. The cabling was a mixture of VDH, Kimber
Kable and Song Audio's own power cords. |
