The 2002 Montreal Festival of Sound & Image!

Nordost     Nordost was convincing again this year in their cable demonstrations.  Also on show were Nordost Pulsar Points, used under all the components (Swiss Primare CD player and integrated) and also the loudspeakers (Danish loudspeaker manufacturer System Audio). These resonance and vibration devices are quite effective. We will have more to say about these in our upcoming review. Nordost own Lars Kristensen was (as always) fun and educational to listen too. Here's a man who each year has the same story to tell, and each year does a fantastic job in doing it. We all walked out wishing we could buy the Valhalla line of Nordost cables ( if only we could afford them :( ). Sonically they are fantastic, which was apparent against even their own prized alternatives. The top of the line Valhallas where compared with SPM Reference, Quattro Fils and Blue Havens. And yes, we could hear improvements as Lars climbed the product line latter.    next room:
