| Tri-Cell, an Ontario dealer, was
exhibiting a collection from its fine line of products. Most
prominent were the Acapella Violon 1 loudspeakers featuring a
hybrid design involving cones for low frequencies, horns for
the mids and ion tweeters for the highs. |
 |
| Accustic Arts Drive 1 CD player, Hovland preamp
and Accustic Arts AMP II-AC power amplifier drove the Violons
to a very good effect. We were treated with a very open and
dynamic sound with loads of drive. |
 |
The Acapella ion tweeters were on separate
display for all to truly appreciate.

 |
| In the same room was a tube CD player from
China by Shanling: The CD-T100, distributed in Canada by
Charisma Audio from Ontario. Talk about gorgeous! Even the
remote control is top notch. This unit has a built in 100 step
volume control allowing it to be connected directly to a power
amp. Maybe we can get one of these for a review - yum, yum. |
