The 2002 Montreal Festival of Sound & Image!

Moon Dog Audio, 47 Laboratory, Emotive Audio, Symposium Acoustics     Foss Audio, an Ontario dealer of fine audio equipment, were out in force. On show were The Maya Horn System loudspeakers by Moon Dog Audio, with 47 Laboratory front end featuring the PiTracer CD Transport.     Symposium Acoustics was in charge of holding things up. The PiTracer was on top of a Precision Rack with Ultra shelving and on top of a three pairs of sandwiched Symposium Acoustics Rollerblocks Series 2. Sira was on top of a QUANTUM Platform. Amplification was handled by Emotive Audio Sira Preamplifier and Yote 2A3 SET Amplifiers by Moon Dog Audio. All of this added up to a fantastic performance. Dynamics, air, sound stage, and transparency - this system had it all. Suffice to say the Foss Audio room was one of the few rooms I returned to more than once.   next room:
