| I put my JBL XE/2 speakers on cement blocks, raising them to the proper level. this is superior to any speaker stand since it does NOTHING. no damping and no coupling - no coloration added. |

Try
using sculptured concrete/marble/whatever stands from a
garden store. Even more inert and should look a bit
better than stacked blocks. |
