Setup
Go to Radio Shack and purchase their laser pointer, catalog #63-1054. Go home with it and with excitement begin by doing the following: Make sure your speakers are of equal distance from the wall behing them and a equal distance from the walls on either side of them. Make sure your listning chair resides at a point exactly between the speakers and the distance back from them that you have chosen. Use a tape measure for this. Sit in your sweet spot. Stick a piece of masking tape on the chair back behind your head where your ears are, one piece for each ear, right behind the ear. When you get up the tape pieces will be approximently where your ears were on the seat back. If the chair back is low, place a large piece of cardboard or wood behind you as you sit and stick the pieces of tape there instead. Place the laser pointer on the top of one of the speakers, on the front inside edge. Use the laser pointer flat surfaces to square it up with the edges of the speaker. Turn on the laser beam and notice where the laser shines on your chair. Adjust the speaker(horizontal and verticle angles) so that it shines at a point exactly between the pieces of tape you put on the chair while you were sitting there. Mark where the beam was and do the same with the other speaker, alinging the beam to fall on the same spot as the other speaker did. You now have perfect alingment, more so than measuring and teasting by ear. In your adjustments you can also put the laser pointer on the inside, side of the speaker cabnets near the tweater or a point between the woofer and the tweeter for a perfect alingment that places your ears perfectly at those points. If the sound is too bright, aling the beam to fall the desired number of inches from the center point. IE, adjust the laser for the right speaker to fall three inches to the right of your right ear piece of tape, and the left the same, three inches to the left of the left piece of tape.

Use
Use this tweek to perfectly aling your speakers for your sweet spot.

Performance
You will notice a greater focus of images and a greater width of the sound stage. The soundstage also grows deeper. Please note that you will not be able to obtain a greater focus than you can with this tweek other than componet upgrading. After alinging a friends system he got so excited that he went out and bought three laser pointers to use for himself and his friends. I preformed this on my friends system in 10 minuits.
