| I didn't want to pay a great deal for commercial dampeners, so I purchased one of those vacuum sealers at Sam's Club. The bags are thick enough to prevent puncture, come in two convenient sizes, and I can experiment with filler materials (sand, lead shot, etc.) |

| After I've filled the bag part-way with filler (never fill it completely or it won't seal) I put it in the sealer, which removed all of the airspace and sealed the bag. DO NOT PLACE THESE ON HOT/UNEVEN SURFACES. Pre-amps, CD players and VCR's are ok, just make sure there is adequate ventilation for the components to run without becoming hot |

| To me, it tightened up the sound and increased the soundstage. Easy to remove for dusting, clean and change the size of the bag |

| If it doesn't make a difference in sound, it can still be used for the intended purpose-makes food last longer |
