| Hope this has not been repeated--I replaced all low end electolytic capacitors with polypropylene caps from Axon and Solen--matched same exact value and voltage...replaced each 8uf,10uf,20uf,and 24uf cap with axon/solen and replaced cheap internal speaker wire with 14 guage axon wire for midbass and used solid 16 guage copper for tweeter--also, replaced each .30 cent resistor with $3.00 each axon non inductive resistors matching each value exactly like I did for the caps |

| Turned my low end 1996 (two pairs)klipsch bookshelf speakers into high performance monsters that can truly outclass many speakers at twice the price ! these speakers have a 42 dollar midbass and no more than 20 dollar tweeter in them--they sound absolutely incredible--all you need to do is not be afraid of using a soldering iron and taking the speakers apart--if you cant use a soldering iron then take your speakers to a speaker repair shop..tell the repair dude to replace the caps with polypropylene caps and replace the resistor with better ones plus changing out that old speaker wire.May cost around 80 bucks on your old speakers but well worth the upgrade--guaranteed magnificent improvement in sound |
