| Instead
of having your DVD player Video Out connect to your AV
Receiver and then with another cable to connect to your TV
Video in, you connect the DVD player Video Out directly to
your TV Video in. |
| |
| This
direct connection to TV should improve Video and also Audio
performance of your AV Receiver. The reason being the
minimization of RF and otherinterference in the AV Receiver. |
| |
| Video
with better contrast and audio with better control at the
higher and lower bandwith. |

When
first setting up system run the video thru the av amp so
that you can do the setup stuff for the amp that is
presented as an "on screen process". When done
connect directly to the TV. |

If
you don't connect the DVD player to the receiver first,
but directly to the TV, then how do you get surround
sound from the receiver while playing a disk? |

It
is the video signal they are talking about.. not the
audio.. which in today's DVD players, and AV amps.. is
connect thru the optical output on the DVD player, to
the optical input of the AV amp. |
