Plannar and all glass platter tables |

If
you have an older glass platter table, especially if it has
been moved around, you can greatly restore detail and tame
surface noise by cleaning the contact between the platter
and whatever it sits on. 1) Clean your hands 2) Use a cotton
cloth/underwear with alchohol or windex or even just water
on the glass platter 3) use a wet or dry cloth on all other
parts (plastic/rubber belts/parts that touch belts 4)wipe
everything dry.
ps if the tonearm is old, cleaning it will also improve
transient timing ("speed") |
