Fix the popped in middle part of your speakers for free

Reference # Submitted by Submitter rating Cost
406 Aurel Tetrault Excellent $0.00

Source Brand
Self An average pin

Construction
Get a sewing pin (the thinnest one you have) bend it at about 1/3 of its length(the bottom of the L at the point part, duh) to make it look like an L shape with plyers or your hands

Setup
Insert bent end of the pin straight into the popped in part in the middle of your speaker. Now bend the pin so the L is now in side the popped-in part. pull out gently untill the popped-in part comes back out.

Use
This is to use on your speakers inner domey-thing

Performance
I dont really know, but having it out looks better than if it is popped in and it probably makes your speakers good again

Other
except from an innostice-able teeny hole, you have your speaker fixed. if you think that it ruined your speakers, dont complain to me because this is a better solution than getting new ones ;)

Gary I believe the 'dome thingy' is called a dust cap.

One of the best methods i've learnt that works really well, after an unfortunate speaker accident with my 2 and a half year old niece, is to use a vacuum cleaner. Just switch it on, hold the speaker driver in place with your hands, and suck it out.
