Concreted blocks in varied size depending on sub size

As previously mentioned, towels can be used between blocks and the sub cab to prevent scratches. The object is not just a steady base, OR dampen from the top, but SANDWICH the sub between 2 blocks. The provides both attributes plus stiffensn the cabinet better.

Select correct size and some are decorative or colored to improve the WAF. Large round ones could also be used if most ot the cabinet tops and bottom are covered.

Tighter bass, as expected. Especially effective with 'attacks' heard in soundtracks.

Word!
Good stuff. I got the 16" paver blocks for $3.00
ea. at Lowes. My floor is carpeted, so I built some
cheapo (but effective) spikes to put underneath the
lower concrete block, then spiked the sub on top of the
block.
I used an old pillow case for the upper block - pick a
color that matches the room decor. My wife didn't even
notice the additions (I don't think). :) |
