| So far so good. I own a pair of Mcintosh XRT-22 speakers. For those of you not familiar with these speakers, they are made up of 2 7' tweeter columns. Each column houses 16 tweeters. In addition to this, they are accompanied by 2 individual cabinets with 2 woofers and 1 midrange. So, to retrofit all of these tweeters and the woofers and midrange with Mihorns or focus rings, but with Mihorns especially,it would be expensive to say the least. Here is what I did. I purchased some plasic funnels at a local auto parts store, you can use metal also, but, I suspect that this type of metal, might produce some ringing,so, I elected to buy the plastic ones. I cut the bottom portion of the funnels about 1 " or so.I then mounted them over the tweeters. Low and behold, they work perfectly. You can use the waxed cups also, but they look real tacky. Perhaps if painted they would be more appealing???????????? |

| You can also purchase some thin sheet metal, about the same gauge metal that is used in air conditioning ducts.Purchase a pair of tin snips, shape the metal, then rivit or spot weld the seams. |
