Right heres the deal.
I once real about the sesmic sink isolation platfom being an adjustable pressure fed inflatable tube, albeit with a large heavy lump of marble or whatever on top.
Well I thought I would give it a try one day when repairing a puncture on my kids bike.
So there you have it - use a cycle inner tube and inflate to the desired pressure. |
| |
| Ideally obtain a cycle inner tube which fis just inside the feet of your equipment- unfortunately Cycle tyres are round and Hi Fi equipment is rectangular or square - so we must compromise. |
| |
Inflate the tube to the desired pressure and locare under the unit to be evaluated. I lowered the pressure to acheive the same level of 'bounce' as my Michell Gyrodec (godlike machine)and thought this would be a good starting point.
You can of course experiment to your hearts content by raising or lowering the pressure to suit your machines weight and of sourse sound. |

Well, I have to say I am the complete sceptic when it comes to tweaks I never beleived that good speaker cable could outperform UK twin singlecore - I now run bi-wired expensive cabling. I never thought a decent turntable could make all that much difference after all it has to do is make the record co round - I now own a
Gyrodec.
This works, my audiolab cd player, seemingly much smoother than before, slight widening of the soundstage and tightening of position but the smoothness just rolled off and sounded nice and cosy, wrapping you up in cotton wool. |
| |
Well give it a try for a few bucks - nothing to loose.
So now I will be hated by millions of kids who only have one wheel on the bike this weekend - good luck and enjoy.
