| Go to your nearest Target, Wal-Mart, Kmart or other type of household goods store and pickup 1 or 2 hypo-allergenic corrugated foam mattress pads. Cut into 2 foot by 2 foot squares or whatever sizes are appropriate to cover areas of problematic reflection. (more in "setup" on appropriate placement)
Get some aesthetically acceptable fabric from a local fabric store, some kind of sandstone beige cotton or other usually looks good, and cover the foam pieces with the fabric. pinning works well if you don't have patience to sew. |

| Best place for panels to improve imaging and reduce
image smear is on side walls approximately midway between
the speakers and the listening position. |

| Improves imaging performance by reducing "early reflection smear"
and improves midrange intelligibility by partially eliminating reflective coloration associated with many room surfaces. |

For
covering, burlap is good material - other fabrics may
add reflection at mid and high frequencies. Get them
cheap at Wal-Marts. |
