| THE PROBLEM: If you connect your main signal sources and speakers to your A/V reciever or even A/V preamp and amp, you don't get the purity of those megabuck pure electronics you own.
But if you connect your main sources and speakers to your megabuck high end pure amp and preamp, you can't have your surround sound through those speakers when you watch movies.
SOLUTION: Well actually you can have the best of both worlds.
You do this by connecting your prime audio sources, CD, tuner, phono etc. directly to your high end pure stereo preamp/amp
And you connect your video sources, VCR's, LD players and DVD players to your A/V reciever or A/V preamp THEN you route the PRE-OUT FRONT from your A/V piece into the tape input of your pure audio preamp.
This way when you watch home theater, the A/V FRONT channel
processing goes directly into your higher quality pure audio setup while the CENTER, and REAR outputs are already amplified and sent directly to the surround/center speakers.
For pure stereo listening of prime sources, Remember, your main audio sources are already connected to the pure audio components.
BUT YOU CAN EVEN use the A/V processing for prime audio sources too by routing the TAPE OUT from you pure audio preamp
to any available high leven INPUT on the A/V preamp. |

| I've had my system configured this way for a few years
now, and it works beautifully. |
