Direct rca to rca connection

Reference # Submitted by Submitter rating Cost
81 joeespo Excellent $5.00

Source Brand
experimentation radio shack female-female rca connectors (male on both sides.)

Construction
If you have small chassis units with outboard power supplies, like an AA DAC and DTI Pro, use these RS connectors to join or piggyback the digital ins/outs.

Setup
Use blocks, brackets, etc. to support the units while connected back-to-back.

Use
Eliminate interconnects by direct-connecting the female rca output to the female input of components through the use of female-female connectors.

Performance
No interconnects, thus no wire-induced variables in sound. About as close as you can get to direct solder connections.

Other
RCA terminal spacing for audio out/in terminals is not standard, so I wouldn't recommend this for piggybacking two-channel analogue equipment especially large chassis stuff with on-board power supplies.
