| My tweak is about equipment damping, instead of buying Shakti Stones or Bright Stars, I put block of marble at the top of each of my component so vibrations are damped and somewhat minimized |

| I just bought blocks of marble on a hardware store, you can even choose the thickness of the slabs where you will comfortably put it. Marble is, of course, heavy, very rigid, which is a good vibration damping material. |
| |
| I choose different thickness for the marble, of course the more sturdier the casing, the thicker the block. And why would you put such thick block on a sheet of thin metal, of course you would.
I place them above each component, even for the speakers. |
| |
| Just put it above your equipment and your ready to go! |
| |
| Although the changes are not sky-rocketing, the improvements are very subtle. You will notice a fuller bass, greater dynamics and wider soundstaging. |
| |
| Very cheap, you can even look for it at your backyard or construction sites!!! |

Enhancement
to this tweak.
For even a better result, add Dynamat (http://www.dynamat.com/) to the bottom of the marble.
In between the Marble and Dynamat, cut a small piece of
Stillpoint ERS cloth (http://www.stillpoints.us/1Pages/reviews.html). This
will give you better damping and reduce RF/EMI (http://www.stereotimes.com/acc030903a.shtm). Cost for
ERS cloth is $20/sheet of 8"x11". Dynamat is
less then $10/sq ft.

Wilson

What
out for mass loading though, you should try to avoid
placing heavy objects on top of CD players. :>} |
